- [asv] And
there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so
that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the
famine.

- [asv] And
Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt,

- [asv] And
when the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of

- [jnd] And
when money came to an end
in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came
to Joseph, saying, Give us bread! for why should we die before thee?
for money is all gone.
- [kjv] And
when money failed in the
land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto
Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence?
for the money faileth.
- [asv] And
Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if
money fail.
- [snd] /ænd/ /dʒɔhsif/ /sed/ /ɡɪv/ /jʊr/ /ˈkæt(ə)l/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /ɡɪv/ /ju/ /fɔr/ /jʊr/ /ˈkæt(ə)l/ /ɪf/ /ˈmʌni/ /feɪl/

money be all gone.
- [kjv] And
Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if
money fail.
- [asv] And
they brought their cattle unto Joseph; and Joseph gave them bread in
exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for
the asses: and he fed them with bread in exchange for all their cattle
for that year.

- [jnd] And
they brought their cattle
to Joseph; and Joseph gave them bread for horses, and for flocks of
sheep, and for herds of cattle, and for asses; and he fed them with
bread for all their cattle that year.
- [kjv] And
they brought their cattle
unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for
the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he
fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.
- [asv] And
when that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said
unto him, We will not hide from my lord, how that our money is all
spent; and the herds of cattle are my lord's; there is nought left in
the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:
- [snd] /ænd/ /wen/ /ðæt/ /jɪr/ /wɑz/ /endId/ /ðeɪ/ /keɪm/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ðə/ /ˈsekənd/ /jɪr/ /ænd/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /wi/ /wɪl/ /nɑt/ /haɪd/ /frɑm/ /maɪ/ /lɔrd/ /haʊ/ /ðæt/ /aʊr/ /ˈmʌni/ /ɪz/ /ɔl/ /spent/ /ænd/ /ðə/ /hɜrdz/ /əv/ /ˈkæt(ə)l/ /ɑr/ /maɪ/ /lɔrd/ /s/ /ðer/ /ɪz/ /nɔt/ /left/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /saɪt/ /əv/ /maɪ/ /lɔrd/ /bʌt/ /aʊr/ /ˈbɑdiz/ /ænd/ /aʊr/ /lændz/
- [jnd] And
that year ended; and they
came to him the second year, and said to him, We will not hide from my
lord that since money is come to an end, and the herds of cattle are in
the possession of my lord, nothing is left before my lord but our
bodies and our land.
- [kjv] When
that year was ended, they
came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it
from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds
of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our
bodies, and our lands:
- 47:19 [cbgb] 你何忍見我們人死地荒呢.求你用糧食買我們的我們的地、我們和我們的地就要給法老效力.又求你給我們種子、使我們得以存活、不至死亡、地土也不至荒涼。
- [asv] wherefore
should we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our
land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and
give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land be not

shall we die before
thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we
and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we
may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.
- [asv] So
Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold
every man his field, because the famine was sore upon them: and the

- [kjv] And
Joseph bought all the land

because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.
- [asv] And

- [kjv] And

borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.
- [asv] Only
the land of the priests bought he not: for the priests had a portion

wherefore they sold not their land.

- [jnd] Only
the land of the priests

did not sell their land.
- [kjv] Only
the land of the priests
bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh,

not their lands.
- [asv] Then

Joseph said unto the
