    • [jnd]   And they journeyed from Elim, and the whole assembly of the children of Israel came into the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departure out of the land of Egypt.

    • [jnd]   Then said Jehovah to Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather the daily need on its day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not.

    • [asv]   And Moses said, This shall be, when Jehovah shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that Jehovah heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against Jehovah.

    • [jnd]   And Moses said, When Jehovah gives you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for Jehovah hears your murmurings which ye murmur against him ... and what we? your murmurings are not against us, but against Jehovah.

    • [jnd]   And the children of Israel saw , and said one to another, What is it? for they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, This is the bread which Jehovah has given you to eat.

  16. 16:16 [cbgb]   耶和華所吩咐的是這樣．你們要按著各人的飯量、為帳棚裏的人按著人數收起來、各拿一俄梅珥。
    • [asv]   This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, Gather ye of it every man according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, shall ye take it, every man for them that are in his tent.

    • [jnd]   This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded: Gather of it every man according to what he can eat, an omer a poll, the number of your persons: ye shall take every man for those that are in his tent.

  18. 16:18 [cbgb]   及至用俄梅珥量一量、多收的也沒有餘、少收的也沒有缺、各人按著自己的飯量收取。
    • [asv]   And when they measured it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

    • [asv]   Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and became foul: and Moses was wroth with them.
