- [asv] And
certain men came down from Judaea and taught the brethren, saying,
Except ye be circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
- [snd] /ænd/ /ˈsɜrt(ə)n/ /men/ /keɪm/ /daʊn/ /frɑm/ /dʒu:'diə/ /ænd/ /tɔt/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /ɪkˈsept/ /ji/ /bi/ /ˈsɜrkəmˌsaɪzd/ /ˈæftər/ /ði/ /ˈkʌstəm/ /əv/ /mɔhzis/ /ji/ /ˈkæˌnɑt/ /bi/ /seɪvd/
- [jnd] And
certain persons, having

certain men which came
down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be
circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
- [asv] And
when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and questioning with
them, the brethren appointed that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other
of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about
this question.
- [snd] /ænd/ /wen/ /pɔ:l/ /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /həd/ /nɔh/ /smɔl/ /dɪˈsenʃən/ /ænd/ /ˈkwestʃənɪŋ/ /wɪð/ /ðem/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /əˈpɔɪntəd/ /ðæt/ /pɔ:l/ /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /ænd/ /ˈsɜrt(ə)n/ /ˈʌðər/ /əv/ /ðem/ /ʃʊd/ /ɡoʊ/ /ʌp/ /tu/ /jərusələm/ /ˈʌntu/ /ði/ /əˈpɑs(ə)lz/ /ænd/ /ˈeldərz/ /əˈbaʊt/ /ðɪs/ /ˈkwestʃ(ə)n/
- [jnd] A
commotion therefore having
taken place, and no small discussion on the part of Paul and Barnabas
against them, they arranged that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others
from amongst them, should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders
about this question.
- [kjv] When
therefore Paul and
Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they
determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go
up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
- [asv] They
therefore, being brought on their way by the church, passed through
both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles:
and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
- [snd] /ðeɪ/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /biɪŋ/ /brɔt/ /ɑn/ /ðer/ /weɪ/ /baɪ/ /ði/ /tʃɜrtʃ/ /ˈpæseɪd/ /θru/ /boʊθ/ /fi'niʃə/ /ænd/ /səmɛəriə/ /dɪˈklerɪŋ/ /ði/ /kənˈvɜrʒ(ə)n/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /kɔzd/ /ɡreɪt/ /dʒɔɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ɔl/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/
- [jnd] They
therefore, having been
set on their way by the assembly, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria,
relating the conversion of the nations. And they caused great joy to
all the brethren.

by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the

brethren.
- [asv] And
when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church and
the apostles and the elders, and they rehearsed all things that God had
done with them.
- [snd] /ænd/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /kʌm/ /tu/ /jərusələm/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /rɪˈsivd/ /əv/ /ði/ /tʃɜrtʃ/ /ænd/ /ði/ /əˈpɑs(ə)lz/ /ænd/ /ði/ /ˈeldərz/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /rɪˈhɜrst/ /ɔl/ /θɪŋz/ /ðæt/ /ɡɑd/ /həd/ /dʌn/ /wɪð/ /ðem/
- [jnd] And
being arrived at
Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and
the elders, and related all that God had wrought with them.
- [kjv] And
when they were come to
Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and
elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
- [asv] But
there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees who believed,
saying, It is needful to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep
the law of Moses.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /ðer/ /roʊz/ /ʌp/ /ˈsɜrt(ə)n/ /əv/ /ðə/ /sekt/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈferəˌsiz/ /hu/ /bɪˈlivd/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /ˈnidfəl/ /tu/ /ˈsɜrkəmˌsaɪz/ /ðem/ /ænd/ /tu/ /tʃɑrdʒ/ /ðem/ /tu/ /kip/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /əv/ /mɔhzis/
- [jnd] And
some of those who were of
the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, rose up from among , saying
that they ought to circumcise them and enjoin them to keep the law of
Moses.
- [kjv] But
there rose up certain of
the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful
to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
- 15:6 [cbgb]
- [asv] And
the apostles and the elders were gathered together to consider of this
matter.
- [snd] /ænd/ /ði/ /əˈpɑs(ə)lz/ /ænd/ /ði/ /ˈeldərz/ /wɜr/ /ˈɡæðərd/ /təˈɡeðər/ /tu/ /kənˈsɪdər/ /əv/ /ðɪs/ /ˈmætər/
- [jnd] And
the apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this
matter.
- [kjv] And
the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
- [asv] And
when there had been much questioning, Peter rose up, and said unto
them, Brethren, ye know that a good while ago God made choice among
you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel,
and believe.
- [snd] /ænd/ /wen/ /ðer/ /həd/ /bɪn/ /mʌtʃ/ /ˈkwestʃənɪŋ/ /pitər/ /roʊz/ /ʌp/ /ænd/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ji/ /noʊ/ /ðæt/ /eɪ/ /ɡʊd/ /waɪl/ /əˈɡoʊ/ /ɡɑd/ /meɪd/ /tʃɔɪs/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ju/ /ðæt/ /baɪ/ /maɪ/ /maʊθ/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /ʃʊd/ /hɪr/ /ðə/ /wɜrd/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈɡɑsp(ə)l/ /ænd/ /bɪˈliv/
- [jnd] And
much discussion having
taken place, Peter, standing up, said to them, Brethren, *ye* know that
from the earliest days God amongst you chose that the nations by my
mouth should hear the word of the glad tidings and believe.
- [kjv] And
when there had been much
disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know
how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles
by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
- [asv] And
God, who knoweth the heart, bare them witness, giving them the Holy
Spirit, even as he did unto us;
- [snd] /ænd/ /ɡɑd/ /hu/ /noʊθ/ /ðə/ /hɑrt/ /ber/ /ðem/ /ˈwɪtnəs/ /ɡɪvɪŋ/ /ðem/ /ðə/ /ˈhoʊli/ /ˈspɪrɪt/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /æz/ /heɪ/ /dɪd/ /ˈʌntu/ /ʌs/
- [jnd] And
the heart-knowing God bore them witness, giving the Holy Spirit as to
us also,
- [kjv] And
God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy
Ghost, even as he did unto us;
- [asv] and
he made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by
faith.
- [snd] /ænd/ /heɪ/ /meɪd/ /nɔh/ /dɪˈstɪŋkʃ(ə)n/ /bɪˈtwin/ /ʌs/ /ænd/ /ðem/ /klenzɪŋ/ /ðer/ /hɑrts/ /baɪ/ /feɪθ/
- [jnd] and
put no difference between us and them, having purified their hearts by
faith.
- [kjv] And
put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
- [asv] Now
therefore why make ye trial of God, that ye should put a yoke upon the
neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to
bear?
- [snd] /naʊ/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /waɪ/ /meɪk/ /ji/ /ˈtraɪəl/ /əv/ /ɡɑd/ /ðæt/ /ji/ /ʃʊd/ /put/ /eɪ/ /joʊk/ /əˈpɑn/ /ðə/ /nek/ /əv/ /ðə/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)lz/ /wɪtʃ/ /ˈniðər/ /aʊr/ /ˈfɑðərz/ /nɔr/ /wi/ /wɜr/ /ˈeɪb(ə)l/ /tu/ /ber/
- [jnd] Now
therefore why tempt ye
God, by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither
our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
- [kjv] Now
therefore why tempt ye
God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our
fathers nor we were able to bear?
- [asv] But
we believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus,
in like manner as they.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /wi/ /bɪˈliv/ /ðæt/ /wi/ /ʃæl/ /bi/ /seɪvd/ /θru/ /ðə/ /ɡreɪs/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /ji'zəs/ /ɪn/ /laɪk/ /ˈmænər/ /æz/ /ðeɪ/
- [jnd] But
we believe that we shall be saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus, in
the same manner as they also.
- [kjv] But
we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be
saved, even as they.
- [asv] And
all the multitude kept silence; and they hearkened unto Barnabas and
Paul rehearsing what signs and wonders God had wrought among the
Gentiles through them.
- [snd] /ænd/ /ɔl/ /ðə/ /ˈmʌltɪˌtud/ /kept/ /ˈsaɪləns/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /ˈhɑrkənd/ /ˈʌntu/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /ænd/ /pɔ:l/ /rɪˈhɜrsɪŋ/ /wɑt/ /saɪnz/ /ænd/ /ˈwʌndərz/ /ɡɑd/ /həd/ /ræwt/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /θru/ /ðem/
- [jnd] And
all the multitude kept
silence and listened to Barnabas and Paul relating all the signs and
wonders which God had wrought among the nations by them.
- [kjv] Then
all the multitude kept
silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what
miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
- [asv] And
after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Brethren,
hearken unto me:
- [snd] /ænd/ /ˈæftər/ /ðeɪ/ /həd/ /held/ /ðer/ /pis/ /dʒeɪmz/ /ˈænsərd/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ˈhɑrkən/ /ˈʌntu/ /mi/
- [jnd] And
after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Brethren,
listen to me:
- [kjv] And
after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and
brethren, hearken unto me:
- 15:14 [cbgb] 方才西門述說 神當初怎樣眷顧外邦人、從他們中間選取百姓歸於自己的名下。
- [asv] Symeon
hath rehearsed how first God visited the Gentiles, to take out of them
a people for his name.
- [snd] /saimiən/ /hæθ/ /rɪˈhɜrst/ /haʊ/ /fɜrst/ /ɡɑd/ /ˈvɪzɪtId/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /tu/ /teɪk/ /aʊt/ /əv/ /ðem/ /eɪ/ /ˈpip(ə)l/ /fɔr/ /hɪz/ /neɪm/
- [jnd] Simon
has related how God first visited to take out of nations a people for
his name.
- [kjv] Simeon
hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out
of them a people for his name.
- 15:15 [cbgb]
- [asv] And
to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
- [snd] /ænd/ /tu/ /ðɪs/ /əˈɡri/ /ðə/ /wɜrdz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈprɑfɪts/ /æz/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /ˈrɪt(ə)n/
- [jnd] And
with this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written:
- [kjv] And
to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
- [asv] After
these things I will return, And I will build again the
tabernacle of
David, which is fallen; And I will build again the ruins
thereof, And
I will set it up:
- [snd] /ˈæftər/ /ðiz/ /θɪŋz/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /rɪˈtɜrn/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /bɪld/ /əˈɡen/ /ðə/ /tæbərnæk'əl/ /əv/ /'deivid/ /wɪtʃ/ /ɪz/ /ˈfɔlən/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /bɪld/ /əˈɡen/ /ðə/ /ˈruɪnz/ /ðerˈɔv/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /set/ /ɪt/ /ʌp/
- [jnd] After
these things I will
return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and
will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up,
- [kjv] After
this I will return, and
will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I
will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
- 15:17 [cbgb] 叫餘剩的人、就是凡稱為我名下的外邦人、都尋求主.
- [asv] That
the residue of men may seek after the Lord, And all the
Gentiles, upon whom my name is called,
- [snd] /ðæt/ /ðə/ /ˈrezɪdu/ /əv/ /men/ /meɪ/ /sik/ /ˈæftər/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /ænd/ /ɔl/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /əˈpɑn/ /hum/ /maɪ/ /neɪm/ /ɪz/ /kɔld/
- [jnd] so
that the residue of men may
seek out the Lord, and all the nations on whom my name is invoked,
saith Lord, who does these things
- [kjv] That
the residue of men might
seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called,
saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
- [asv] Saith
the Lord, who maketh these things known from of old.

- [kjv] Known
unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
- [asv] Wherefore
my judgment is, that we trouble not them that from among the Gentiles
turn to God;
- [snd] /ˈwerfɔr/ /maɪ/ /dʒədʒment/ /ɪz/ /ðæt/ /wi/ /ˈtrʌb(ə)l/ /nɑt/ /ðem/ /ðæt/ /frɑm/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /tɜrn/ /tu/ /ɡɑd/
- [jnd] Wherefore
*I* judge, not to trouble those who from the nations turn to God;
- [kjv] Wherefore
my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles
are turned to God:
- 15:20 [cbgb] 只要寫信、吩咐他們禁戒偶像的污穢和姦淫、並勒死的牲畜、和血。
- [asv] but
that we write unto them, that they abstain from the pollutions of
idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /ðæt/ /wi/ /raɪt/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /ðæt/ /ðeɪ/ /əbˈsteɪn/ /frɑm/ /ðə/ /pəˈluʃ(ə)nz/ /əv/ /ˈaɪd(ə)lz/ /ænd/ /frɑm/ /fɔr'nəkeɪʃən/ /ænd/ /frɑm/ /wɑt/ /ɪz/ /ˈstræŋɡ(ə)ld/ /ænd/ /frɑm/ /blʌd/
- [jnd] but
to write to them to abstain from pollutions of idols, and from

from things strangled, and from blood.

Moses from generations of old hath in every city them that preach him,
being read in the synagogues every sabbath.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /mɔhzis/ /frɑm/ /ˌdʒenəˈreɪʃ(ə)nz/ /əv/ /oʊld/ /hæθ/ /ɪn/ /ˈevri/ /ˈsɪti/ /ðem/ /ðæt/ /pritʃ/ /hɪm/ /biɪŋ/ /rid/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /ˈsɪnəˌɡɑɡz/ /ˈevri/ /sæbəθ/
- [jnd] For
Moses, from generations of old, has in every city those who preach him,
being read in the synagogues every sabbath.
- [kjv] For
Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read
in the synagogues every sabbath day.
- [asv] Then
it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church,
to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul

among the brethren:
- [snd] /ðen/ /ɪt/ /simd/ /ɡʊd/ /tu/ /ði/ /əˈpɑs(ə)lz/ /ænd/ /ði/ /ˈeldərz/ /wɪð/ /ðə/ /hoʊl/ /tʃɜrtʃ/ /tu/ /tʃuz/ /men/ /aʊt/ /əv/ /ðer/ /ˈkʌmpəni/ /ænd/ /send/ /ðem/ /tu/ /æntiɔk/ /wɪð/ /pɔ:l/ /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /ˈneɪmli/ /dʒudəs/ /kɔld/ /bæhrsəbəs/ /ænd/ /'sailəsz// /tʃif/ /men/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/
- [jnd] Then
it seemed good to the
apostles and to the elders, with the whole assembly, to send chosen men
from among them with Paul and Barnabas to Antioch, Judas called
Barsabas and Silas, leading men among the brethren,
- [kjv] Then
pleased it the apostles
and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own
company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed
Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
- 15:23 [cbgb] 於是寫信交付他們、內中說、使徒和作長老的弟兄們、問安提阿、敘利亞、基利家外邦眾弟兄的安。
- [asv] and
they wrote thus by them, The apostles and the elders, brethren, unto
the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia,
greeting:

- [jnd] having
by their hand written
The apostles, and the elders, and the brethren, to the brethren who are

- [kjv] And
they wrote letters by them
after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting
unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and
Cilicia.
- [asv] Forasmuch

as we have heard,
that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words,
subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the

seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen
men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

- [jnd] We
have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves also will tell you
by word the same things.
- [kjv] We
have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same
things by mouth.

it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater
burden than these necessary things;
- [asv] that
ye abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from
things strangled, and from fornication; from which if ye keep
yourselves, it shall be well with you. Fare ye well.

- [jnd] to
abstain from things
sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and
from fornication; keeping yourselves from which ye will do well.
Farewell.
- [kjv] That
ye abstain from meats
offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from
fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare
ye well.
- [asv] So
they, when they were dismissed, came down to Antioch; and having
gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle.
- [snd] /soʊ/ /ðeɪ/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /dɪsˈmɪst/ /keɪm/ /daʊn/ /tu/ /æntiɔk/ /ænd/ /hævɪŋ/ /ˈɡæðərd/ /ðə/ /ˈmʌltɪˌtud/ /təˈɡeðər/ /ðeɪ/ /dɪˈlɪvərd/ /ði/ /ɪpaisəl/
- [jnd] They
therefore, being let go, came to Antioch, and having gathered the
multitude delivered to the epistle.
- [kjv] So
when they were dismissed,
they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude
together, they delivered the epistle:
- 15:31 [cbgb] 眾人念了、因為信上安慰的話、就歡喜了。
- [asv] And
when they had read it, they rejoiced for the consolation.
- [snd] /ænd/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /həd/ /rid/ /ɪt/ /ðeɪ/ /rɪˈdʒɔɪst/ /fɔr/ /ði/ /ˌkɑnsəˈleɪʃ(ə)n/
- [jnd] And
having read it, they rejoiced at the consolation.
- [kjv] Which
when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
- [asv] And
Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted the brethren
with many words, and confirmed them.
- [snd] /ænd/ /dʒudəs/ /ænd/ /'sailəsz// /biɪŋ/ /ðəmˈselvz/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /ˈprɑfɪts/ /ɪɡˈzɔrtId/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /wɪð/ /ˈmeni/ /wɜrdz/ /ænd/ /kənˈfɜrmd/ /ðem/
- [jnd] And
Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted the brethren
with much discourse, and strengthened them.
- [kjv] And
Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren
with many words, and confirmed them.
- [asv] And
after they had spent some time there, they were dismissed in peace from
the brethren unto those that had sent them forth.
- [snd] /ænd/ /ˈæftər/ /ðeɪ/ /həd/ /spent/ /sʌm/ /taɪm/ /ðer/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /dɪsˈmɪst/ /ɪn/ /pis/ /frɑm/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðoʊz/ /ðæt/ /həd/ /sent/ /ðem/ /fɔrθ/
- [jnd] And
having passed some time , they were let go in peace from the brethren
to those who sent them.
- [kjv] And
after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from
the brethren unto the apostles.
- 15:34 [cbgb] 〔
- [asv] But
it seemed good unto Silas to abide there.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /ɪt/ /simd/ /ɡʊd/ /ˈʌntu/ /'sailəsz// /tu/ /əˈbaɪd/ /ðer/
- [jnd] td>
- [kjv]
Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
- Notwithstanding
it pleased Silas to abide there still.
- [asv] But
Paul and Barnabas tarried in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word
of the Lord, with many others also.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /pɔ:l/ /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ d/ /ɪn/ /æntiɔk/ /ˈtitʃɪŋ/ /ænd/ /pritʃɪŋ/ /ðə/ /wɜrd/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /wɪð/ /ˈmeni/ /ˈʌðərz/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/
- [jnd] But
after certain days Paul
said to Barnabas, Let us return now and visit the brethren in every
city where we have announced the word of the Lord, how they are getting
on.
- [kjv] Paul
also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word
of the Lord, with many others also.
- [asv] And
after some days Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us return now and visit
the brethren in every city wherein we proclaimed the word of the Lord,
and see how they fare.
- [snd] /ænd/ /ˈæftər/ /sʌm/ /deɪz/ /pɔ:l/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /let/ /ʌs/ /rɪˈtɜrn/ /naʊ/ /ænd/ /ˈvɪzɪt/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ɪn/ /ˈevri/ /ˈsɪti/ /werˈɪn/ /wi/ /prəˈkleɪmd/ /ðə/ /wɜrd/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /ænd/ /si/ /haʊ/ /ðeɪ/ /fer/
- [jnd] And
Barnabas proposed to take with John also, called Mark;
- [kjv] And
some days after Paul said
unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city
where we have preached the word of the LORD, and see how they do.
- [asv] And
Barnabas was minded to take with them John also, who was called Mark.
- [snd] /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /wɑz/ /ˈmaɪndəd/ /tu/ /teɪk/ /wɪð/ /ðem/ /dʒɔn/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /hu/ /wɑz/ /kɔld/ /mæhrk/
- [jnd] but
Paul thought it not well
to take with them him who had abandoned them, from Pamphylia, and had
not gone with them to the work.
- [kjv] And
Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
- [asv] But
Paul thought not good to take with them him who withdrew from them from
Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /pɔ:l/ /θɔt/ /nɑt/ /ɡʊd/ /tu/ /teɪk/ /wɪð/ /ðem/ /hɪm/ /hu/ /wɪðˈdru/ /frɑm/ /ðem/ /frɑm/ /pæmfailiə/ /ænd/ /went/ /nɑt/ /wɪð/ /ðem/ /tu/ /ðə/ /wɜrk/
- [jnd] There
arose therefore very
warm feeling, so that they separated from one another; and Barnabas
taking Mark sailed away to Cyprus;
- [kjv] But
Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them
from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
- [asv] And
there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from
the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus;
- [snd] /ænd/ /ðer/ /əˈroʊz/ /eɪ/ /ʃɑrp/ /kənˈtenʃ(ə)n/ /soʊ/ /ðæt/ /ðeɪ/ /pɑrtId/ /əsəndər/ /wʌn/ /frɑm/ /ði/ /ˈʌðər/ /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /tʊk/ /mæhrk/ /wɪð/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /seɪld/ /əˈweɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /sai prəs/
- [jnd] but
Paul having chosen Silas went forth, committed by the brethren to the
grace of God.
- [kjv] And
the contention was so
sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and
so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
- [asv] but
Paul choose Silas, and went forth, being commended by the brethren to
the grace of the Lord.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /pɔ:l/ /tʃuz/ /'sailəsz// /ænd/ /went/ /fɔrθ/ /biɪŋ/ /kəˈmendId/ /baɪ/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /tu/ /ðə/ /ɡreɪs/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/
- [jnd] And
he passed through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.
- [kjv] And
Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto
the grace of God.
- [asv] And
he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
- [snd] /ænd/ /heɪ/ /went/ /θru/ /saihriə/ /ænd/ /sɪlɪʃ'ə/ /kənˈfɜrmɪŋ/ /ði/ /tʃə:tʃ/
- [jnd]
- [kjv] And
he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
