- [asv] And
these are the inheritances which the children of Israel took in the
land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun,
and the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of
Israel, distributed unto them,
- [snd] /ænd/ /ðiz/ /ɑr/ /ði/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)nsiz/ /wɪtʃ/ /ði/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /əv/ /aizriəl/ /tʊk/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /əv/ /keɪnən/ /wɪtʃ/ /el'ieɪzər/ /ðə/ /prist/ /ænd/ /dʒɔʃjuə/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /nən/ /ænd/ /ðə/ /hedz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈfɑðərz/ /haʊsiz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /traɪbz/ /əv/ /ði/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /əv/ /aizriəl/ /dɪˈstrɪbjətəd/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/
- [jnd] And
this is what the children
of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest,
and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the
children of Israel, allotted for inheritance to them:
- [kjv] And
these are the countries
which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which
Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the
fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for
inheritance to them.
- [asv] by
the lot of their inheritance, as Jehovah commanded by Moses, for the
nine tribes, and for the half-tribe.
- [snd] /baɪ/ /ðə/ /lɑt/ /əv/ /ðer/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)ns/ /æz/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /kəˈmændId/ /baɪ/ /mɔhzis/ /fɔr/ /ðə/ /naɪn/ /traɪbz/ /ænd/ /fɔr/ /ðə/ /hæf/ /traɪb/
- [jnd] their
inheritance was by lot, as Jehovah had commanded by Moses, for the nine
tribes, and the half tribe.
- [kjv] By
lot was their inheritance, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses,
for the nine tribes, and for the half tribe.
- [asv] For
Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe
beyond the Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave no inheritance among
them.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /mɔhzis/ /həd/ /ˈɡɪv(ə)n/ /ði/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)ns/ /əv/ /ðə/ /tu/ /traɪbz/ /ænd/ /ðə/ /hæf/ /traɪb/ /bɪˈjɑnd/ /ðə/ /dʒɔrdən/ /bʌt/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðə/ /'li:vaɪts/ /heɪ/ /ɡeɪv/ /nɔh/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)ns/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ðem/
- [jnd] For
Moses had given the
inheritance of the two tribes and the half tribe beyond the Jordan, but
to the Levites he had given no inheritance among them.
- [kjv] For
Moses had given the
inheritance of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Jordan:
but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them.
- [asv] For
the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: and they
gave no portion unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in,
with the suburbs thereof for their cattle and for their substance.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ði/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /əv/ /dʒɔhsif/ /wɜr/ /tu/ /traɪbz/ /mænæsə/ /ænd/ /ifreɪim/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /ɡeɪv/ /nɔh/ /ˈpɔrʃ(ə)n/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðə/ /'li:vaɪts/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /seɪv/ /ˈsɪtiz/ /tu/ /dwel/ /ɪn/ /wɪð/ /ðə/ /ˈsʌˌbɜrbz/ /ðerˈɔv/ /fɔr/ /ðer/ /ˈkæt(ə)l/ /ænd/ /fɔr/ /ðer/ /ˈsʌbstəns/
- [jnd] For
the children of Joseph
were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim; and they gave no part to the
Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for
their cattle and for their substance.
- [kjv] For
the children of Joseph
were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto
the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs
for their cattle and for their substance.
- [asv] As
Jehovah commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did; and they
divided the land.
- [snd] /æz/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /kəˈmændId/ /mɔhzis/ /soʊ/ /ði/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /əv/ /aizriəl/ /dɪd/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /dɪˈvaɪdɪd/ /ðə/ /lænd/
- [jnd] As
Jehovah had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they
divided the land.
- [kjv] As
the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they
divided the land.
- [asv] Then
the children of Judah drew nigh unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the
son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing
that Jehovah spake unto Moses the man of God concerning me and
concerning thee in Kadesh-barnea.
- [snd] /ðen/ /ði/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /əv/ /'dʒu:də/ /dru/ /naɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /dʒɔʃjuə/ /ɪn/ /gailgæl/ /ænd/ /'keiləb/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /jəfənə/ /ðə/ /'ki:nɪzaɪt/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ðaʊ/ /noʊst/ /ðə/ /θɪŋ/ /ðæt/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /speɪk/ /ˈʌntu/ /mɔhzis/ /ðə/ /mæn/ /əv/ /ɡɑd/ /kənˈsɜrnɪŋ/ /mi/ /ænd/ /kənˈsɜrnɪŋ/ /θi/ /ɪn/ /keɪdeʃ/ /
- [jnd] Then
the children of Judah
came near to Joshua in Gilgal, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the
Kenizzite said to him, Thou knowest the word that Jehovah spoke to
Moses the man of God, concerning me and thee, in Kadesh-barnea.
- [kjv] Then
the children of Judah
came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite
said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the
man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea.
- [asv] Forty
years old was I when Moses the servant of Jehovah sent me from
Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land; and I brought him word again as it
was in my heart.
- [snd] /ˈfɔrti/ /jɪrz/ /oʊld/ /wɑz/ /aɪ/ /wen/ /mɔhzis/ /ðə/ /ˈsɜrvənt/ /əv/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /sent/ /mi/ /frɑm/ /keɪdeʃ/ / /tu/ /spaɪ/ /aʊt/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /brɔt/ /hɪm/ /wɜrd/ /əˈɡen/ /æz/ /ɪt/ /wɑz/ /ɪn/ /maɪ/ /hɑrt/
- [jnd] Forty
years old was I when
Moses the servant of Jehovah sent me from Kadesh-barnea to search out
the land; and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.
- [kjv] Forty
years old was I when
Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the
land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.
- [asv] Nevertheless
my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt; but
I wholly followed Jehovah my God.
- [snd] /ˌnevərðəˈles/ /maɪ/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ðæt/ /went/ /ʌp/ /wɪð/ /mi/ /meɪd/ /ðə/ /hɑrt/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈpip(ə)l/ /melt/ /bʌt/ /aɪ/ /ˈhoʊli/ /ˈfɑloʊd/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /maɪ/ /ɡɑd/
- [jnd] And
my brethren that had gone up with me made the heart of the people melt;
but I wholly followed Jehovah my God.
- [kjv] Nevertheless
my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but
I wholly followed the LORD my God.
- [asv] And
Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy foot hath
trodden shall be an inheritance to thee and to thy children for ever,
because thou hast wholly followed Jehovah my God.
- [snd] /ænd/ /mɔhzis/ /swɛə/ /ɑn/ /ðæt/ /deɪ/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /ˈʃʊrli/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /werˈɑn/ /ðaɪ/ /fʊt/ /hæθ/ /ˈtrɑd(ə)n/ /ʃæl/ /bi/ /æn/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)ns/ /tu/ /θi/ /ænd/ /tu/ /ðaɪ/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /fɔr/ /ˈevər/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /ðaʊ/ /hɑst/ /ˈhoʊli/ /ˈfɑloʊd/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /maɪ/ /ɡɑd/
- [jnd] And
Moses swore on that day,
saying, The land whereon thy feet have trodden shall assuredly be thine
inheritance, and thy children's for ever! for thou hast wholly followed
Jehovah my God.
- [kjv] And
Moses sware on that day,
saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine
inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly
followed the LORD my God.
- [asv] And
now, behold, Jehovah hath kept me alive, as he spake, these forty and
five years, from the time that Jehovah spake this word unto Moses,
while Israel walked in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day
fourscore and five years old.
- [snd] /ænd/ /naʊ/ /bɪˈhoʊld/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /hæθ/ /kept/ /mi/ /əˈlaɪv/ /æz/ /heɪ/ /speɪk/ /ðiz/ /ˈfɔrti/ /ænd/ /faɪv/ /jɪrz/ /frɑm/ /ðə/ /taɪm/ /ðæt/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /speɪk/ /ðɪs/ /wɜrd/ /ˈʌntu/ /mɔhzis/ /waɪl/ /aizriəl/ /wɔkt/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /ˈwɪldərnəs/ /ænd/ /naʊ/ /loʊ/ /aɪ/ /ɑm'/ /ðɪs/ /deɪ/ /'fɔ:'skɔ:/ /ænd/ /faɪv/ /jɪrz/ /oʊld/
- [jnd] And
now behold, Jehovah has
kept me alive, as he said, these forty-five years, since Jehovah spoke
this word to Moses, when Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now
behold, I am this day eighty-five years old.
- [kjv] And
now, behold, the LORD hath
kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the
LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered
in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years
old.
- [asv] As
yet I am as strong this day as I as in the day that Moses sent me: as
my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, and to go
out and to come in.
- [snd] /æz/ /jet/ /aɪ/ /ɑm'/ /æz/ /strɔŋ/ /ðɪs/ /deɪ/ /æz/ /aɪ/ /æz/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /deɪ/ /ðæt/ /mɔhzis/ /sent/ /mi/ /æz/ /maɪ/ /streŋθ/ /wɑz/ /ðen/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /soʊ/ /ɪz/ /maɪ/ /streŋθ/ /naʊ/ /fɔr/ /wɔr/ /ænd/ /tu/ /ɡoʊ/ /aʊt/ /ænd/ /tu/ /kʌm/ /ɪn/
- [jnd] I
am still this day strong, as
in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my
strength now, for war, both to go out and to come in.
- [kjv] As
yet I am as strong this day
as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even
so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
- [asv] Now
therefore give me this hill-country, whereof Jehovah spake in that day;
for thou heardest in that day how the Anakim were there, and cities
great and fortified: it may be that Jehovah will be with me, and I
shall drive them out, as Jehovah spake.
- [snd] /naʊ/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /ɡɪv/ /mi/ /ðɪs/ /hɪl/ /ˈkʌntri/ /werˈɔv/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /speɪk/ /ɪn/ /ðæt/ /deɪ/ /fɔr/ /ðaʊ/ /hɜrdst/ /ɪn/ /ðæt/ /deɪ/ /haʊ/ /ði/ /ə'nækɪm/ /wɜr/ /ðer/ /ænd/ /ˈsɪtiz/ /ɡreɪt/ /ænd/ d/ /ɪt/ /meɪ/ /bi/ /ðæt/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /wɪl/ /bi/ /wɪð/ /mi/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /ʃæl/ /draɪv/ /ðem/ /aʊt/ /æz/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /speɪk/
- [jnd] And
now give me this mountain,
of which Jehovah spoke in that day; for thou heardest in that day that
Anakim are there, and great fortified cities. If so be Jehovah shall be
with me, then I shall dispossess them, as Jehovah said.
- [kjv] Now
therefore give me this
mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that
day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and
fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to
drive them out, as the LORD said.
- [asv] And
Joshua blessed him; and he gave Hebron unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh
for an inheritance.
- [snd] /ænd/ /dʒɔʃjuə/ /ˈblesəd/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /heɪ/ /ɡeɪv/ /hibrən/ /ˈʌntu/ /'keiləb/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /jəfənə/ /fɔr/ /æn/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)ns/
- [jnd] And
Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for
an inheritance.
- [kjv] And
Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for
an inheritance.
- [asv] Therefore
Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the
Kenizzite unto this day; because that he wholly followed Jehovah, the
God of Israel.
- [snd] /ˈðerfɔr/ /hibrən/ /bɪˈkeɪm/ /ði/ /ɪnˈherɪt(ə)ns/ /əv/ /'keiləb/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /jəfənə/ /ðə/ /'ki:nɪzaɪt/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðɪs/ /deɪ/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /ðæt/ /heɪ/ /ˈhoʊli/ /ˈfɑloʊd/ /jɪhɔhvə/ /ðə/ /ɡɑd/ /əv/ /aizriəl/
- [jnd] Hebron
therefore became the
inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day,
because he wholly followed Jehovah the God of Israel.
- [kjv] Hebron
therefore became the
inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day,
because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.
- [asv] Now
the name of Hebron beforetime was Kiriath-arba; which Arba was the
greatest man among the Anakim. And the land had rest from war.
- [snd] /naʊ/ /ðə/ /neɪm/ /əv/ /hibrən/ /bi'fɔtaim/ /wɑz/ /kaihriæθ/ /boθ:är'bə/ /wɪtʃ/ /boθ:är'bə/ /wɑz/ /ðə/ /ɡreɪtst/ /mæn/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ði/ /ə'nækɪm/ /ænd/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /həd/ /rest/ /frɑm/ /wɔr/
- [jnd] Now
the name of Hebron before was Kirjath-Arba; the great man among the
Anakim. And the land rested from war.
- [kjv] And
the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man
among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war.
