saying, We have found this perverting our nation, and forbidding to
give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ, a king.

Pilate demanded of him saying, Art *thou* the king of the Jews? And he
answering him said, Thou sayest.

this man.

they were the more urgent, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching
throughout all Judaea, and beginning from Galilee even unto this place.

they insisted, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all
Judaea, beginning from Galilee even on to here.

when Pilate heard it, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.

Pilate, having heard Galilee , demanded if the man were a Galilaean;

when he knew that he was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him unto
Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem in these days.

having learned that he was
of Herod's jurisdiction, remitted him to Herod, who himself also was at
Jerusalem in those days.

as soon as he knew that he
belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself
also was at Jerusalem at that time.

greatly rejoiced, for he had been a long while desirous of seeing him,
because of hearing many things concerning him, and he hoped to see some
sign done by him;

to them, Ye have brought
to me this man as turning away the people , and behold, I, having
examined him before you, have found nothing criminal in this man as to
the things of which ye accuse him;

behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this

Pilate gave sentence that what they asked for should be done.

as they led him away, they
laid hold on a certain Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, and
put the cross upon him to bear it behind Jesus.
