in the things which we are saying the chief point is this: We have such
a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens,

a summary of the things of
which we are speaking , We have such a one high priest who has sat down
on right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens;

of the things which we
have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on
the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
- 8:2 [cbgb] 在聖所、就是真帳幕裏、作執事．這帳幕是主所支的、不是人所支的。

minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord
pitched, not man.

of the holy places and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord has
pitched, not man.

minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord
pitched, and not man.
- 8:3 [cbgb] 凡大祭司都是為獻禮物和祭物設立的．所以這位大祭司也必須有所獻的。

every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices:
wherefore it is necessary that this high priest also have somewhat to
offer.

every high priest is
constituted for the offering both of gifts and sacrifices; whence it is
needful that this one also should have something which he may offer.

every high priest is
ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity
that this man have somewhat also to offer.
- 8:4 [cbgb] 他若在地上、必不得為祭司、因為已經有照律法獻禮物的祭司。

if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are
those who offer the gifts according to the law;

then indeed he were upon
earth, he would not even be a priest, there being those who offer the
gifts according to the law,

if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are
priests that offer gifts according to the law:
- 8:5 [cbgb] 他們供奉的事、本是天上事的形狀和影像、正如摩西將要造帳幕的時候、蒙 神警戒他、說、『你要謹慎、作各樣的物件、都要照著在山上指示你的樣式。』

serve that which is a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as
Moses is warned of God when he is about to make the tabernacle: for,
See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern that
was showed thee in the mount.

serve the representation
and shadow of heavenly things, according as Moses was oracularly told
about to make the tabernacle; for See, saith He, that thou make all
things according to the pattern which has been shewn to thee in the
mountain.)
- [kjv] Who
serve unto the example and
shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was
about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all
things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
- 8:6 [cbgb] 如今耶穌所得的職任是更美的、正如他作更美之約的中保．這約原是憑更美之應許立的。
- [asv] But
now hath he obtained a ministry the more excellent, by so much as he is
also the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been enacted upon
better promises.

now he has got a more
excellent ministry, by so much as he is mediator of a better covenant,
which is established on the footing of better promises.

now hath he obtained a
more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a
better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
- 8:7 [cbgb] 那前約若沒有瑕疵、就無處尋求後約了。

if that first covenant had been faultless, then would no place have
been sought for a second.

if that first was faultless, place had not been sought for a second.

been sought for the second.
- 8:8 [cbgb] 所以主指責他的百姓說、〔或作所以主指前約的缺欠說〕『日子將到、我要與以色列家、和猶大家、另立新約．

finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come,
saith the
Lord, That I will make a new covenant with the house of
Israel and
with the house of Judah;

finding fault, he says to
them, Behold, days come, saith the Lord, and I will consummate a new
covenant as regards the house of Israel, and as regards the house of
Juda;

finding fault with them,
he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new
covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
- 8:9 [cbgb] 不像我拉著他們祖宗的手、領他們出埃及的時候、與他們所立的約．因為他們不恆心守我的約、我也不理他們．這是主說的。』

according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In
the day
that I took them by the hand to lead them forth out of the land of
Egypt; For they continued not in my covenant, And I
regarded them
not, saith the Lord.

according to the covenant
which I made to their fathers in day of my taking their hand to lead
them out of the land of Egypt; because *they* did not continue in my
covenant, and *I* did not regard them, saith Lord.

according to the covenant
that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my
covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
- 8:10 [cbgb] 主又說、『那些日子以後、我與以色列家所立的約乃是這樣．我要將我的律法放在他們裏面、寫在他們心上、我要作他們的 神、他們要作我的子民．
- [asv] For
this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
After
those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their
mind, And
on their heart also will I write them: And I will be to them
a God,
And they shall be to me a people:

this the covenant that
I will covenant to the house of Israel after those days, saith the
Lord: Giving my laws into their mind, I will write them also upon their
hearts; and I will be to them for God, and *they* shall be to me for
people.

this is the covenant that
I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord;
I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and
I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
- 8:11 [cbgb] 他們不用各人教導自己的鄉鄰、和自己的弟兄、說、你該認識主．因為他們從最小的到至大的、都必認識我。

they shall not teach every man his fellow-citizen, And every
man his
brother, saying, Know the Lord: For all shall know me,
From the least
to the greatest of them.

they shall not teach each
his fellow-citizen, and each his brother, saying, Know the Lord;
because all shall know me in themselves, from little one unto great
among them.
- [kjv] And
they shall not teach every
man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:
for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
- 8:12 [cbgb] 我要寬恕他們的不義、不再記念他們的罪愆。』
- [asv] For
I will be merciful to their iniquities, And their sins will I
remember no more.

I will be merciful to
their unrighteousnesses, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will
never remember any more.

I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their
iniquities will I remember no more.
- 8:13 [cbgb] 既說新約。就以前約為舊了。但那漸舊漸衰的、就必快歸無有了。
- [asv] In
that he saith, A new covenant he hath made the first old. But that
which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away.

that he says New, he has made the first old; but that which grows old
and aged near disappearing.

that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that
which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
