- [asv] For
this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met
Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ðɪs/ /melkaizədek/ /kɪŋ/ /əv/ /'seiləm/ /prist/ /əv/ /ɡɑd/ /moʊst/ /haɪ/ /hu/ /met/ /eɪbrəhæm/ /rɪˈtɜrnɪŋ/ /frɑm/ /ðə/ /ˈslɔtər/ /əv/ /ðə/ /kaingz/ /ænd/ /ˈblesəd/ /hɪm/
- [jnd] For
this Melchisedec, King of
Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from
smiting the kings, and blessed him;
- [kjv] For
this Melchisedec, king of
Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the
slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
- [asv] to
whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by
interpretation, King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem,
which is King of peace;
- [snd] /tu/ /hum/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /eɪbrəhæm/ /dɪˈvaɪdɪd/ /eɪ/ /tenθ/ /pɑrt/ /əv/ /ɔl/ /biɪŋ/ /fɜrst/ /baɪ/ /ɪnˌtɜrprəˈteɪʃ(ə)n/ /kɪŋ/ /əv/ /'raitʃəsnis/ /ænd/ /ðen/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /kɪŋ/ /əv/ /'seiləm/ /wɪtʃ/ /ɪz/ /kɪŋ/ /əv/ /pis/
- [jnd] to
whom Abraham gave also the
tenth portion of all; first being interpreted King of righteousness,
and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace;
- [kjv] To
whom also Abraham gave a
tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness,
and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
- [asv] without
father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of
days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God), abideth a
priest continually.
- [snd] /wɪðˈaʊt/ /ˈfɑðər/ /wɪðˈaʊt/ /ˈmʌðər/ /wɪðˈaʊt/ /ji'niæləji/ /hævɪŋ/ /ˈniðər/ /bɪˈɡɪnɪŋ/ /əv/ /deɪz/ /nɔr/ /end/ /əv/ /laɪf/ /bʌt/ /meɪd/ /laɪk/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /ɡɑd/ /əˈbaɪdθ/ /eɪ/ /prist/ /kənˈtɪnjuəlli/
- [jnd] without
father, without
mother, without genealogy; having neither beginning of days nor end of
life, but assimilated to the Son of God, abides a priest continually.
- [kjv] Without
father, without
mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of
life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
- [asv] Now
consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave
a tenth out of the chief spoils.
- [snd] /naʊ/ /kənˈsɪdər/ /haʊ/ /ɡreɪt/ /ðɪs/ /mæn/ /wɑz/ /ˈʌntu/ /hum/ /eɪbrəhæm/ /ðə/ /peɪtriɑː(r)k'/ /ɡeɪv/ /eɪ/ /tenθ/ /aʊt/ /əv/ /ði/ /tʃif/ /spɔɪlz/
- [jnd] Now
consider how great this was, to whom the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth
out of the spoils.
- [kjv] Now
consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham
gave the tenth of the spoils.
- [asv] And
they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest's office have
commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is,
of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham:
- [snd] /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /ɪnˈdid/ /əv/ /ðə/ /sʌnz/ /əv/ /'li:vai/ /ðæt/ /rɪˈsiv/ /ðə/ /prist/ /s/ /ˈɔfɪs/ /hæv/ /kəˈmæn(d)mənt/ /tu/ /teɪk/ /taɪðz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈpip(ə)l/ /əˈkɔrdɪŋ/ /tu/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /ðæt/ /ɪz/ /əv/ /ðer/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ðoʊ/ /ðiz/ /hæv/ /kʌm/ /aʊt/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔɪnz/ /əv/ /eɪbrəhæm/
- [jnd] And
they indeed from among the
sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have commandment to take
tithes from the people according to the law, that is from their
brethren, though these are come out of the loins of Abraham:
- [kjv] And
verily they that are of
the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a
commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is,
of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
- 7:6 [cbgb] 獨有麥基洗德、不與他們同譜、倒收納亞伯拉罕的十分之一、為那蒙應許的亞伯拉罕祝福。
- [asv] but
he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of
Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /heɪ/ /huz/ /ji'niæləji/ /ɪz/ /nɑt/ /kaʊntId/ /frɑm/ /ðem/ /hæθ/ /ˈteɪkən/ /taɪðz/ /əv/ /eɪbrəhæm/ /ænd/ /hæθ/ /ˈblesəd/ /hɪm/ /ðæt/ /hæθ/ /ðə/ /ˈprɑmɪsiz/
- [jnd] but
he who has no genealogy from them has tithed Abraham, and blessed him
who had the promises.
- [kjv] But
he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham,
and blessed him that had the promises.
- [asv] But
without any dispute the less is blessed of the better.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /wɪðˈaʊt/ /ˈeni/ /dɪˈspjut/ /ðə/ /les/ /ɪz/ /ˈblesəd/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈbetər/
- [jnd] But
beyond all gainsaying, the inferior is blessed by the better.
- [kjv] And
without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
- [asv] And
here men that die receive tithes; but there one, of whom it is
witnessed that he liveth.
- [snd] /ænd/ /hɪr/ /men/ /ðæt/ /daɪ/ /rɪˈsiv/ /taɪðz/ /bʌt/ /ðer/ /wʌn/ /əv/ /hum/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /ˈwɪtnəst/ /ðæt/ /heɪ/ /lɪvθ/
- [jnd] And
here dying men receive tithes; but there of whom the witness is that he
lives;
- [kjv] And
here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom
it is witnessed that he liveth.
- [asv] And,
so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid
tithes;
- [snd] /ænd/ /soʊ/ /tu/ /seɪ/ /θru/ /eɪbrəhæm/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /'li:vai/ /hu/ /rɪˈsivθ/ /taɪðz/ /hæθ/ /peɪd/ /taɪðz/
- [jnd] and,
so to speak, through Abraham, Levi also, who received tithes, has been
made to pay tithes.
- [kjv] And
as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in
Abraham.
- [asv] for
he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /heɪ/ /wɑz/ /jet/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /lɔɪnz/ /əv/ /hɪz/ /ˈfɑðər/ /wen/ /melkaizədek/ /met/ /hɪm/
- [jnd] For
he was yet in the loins of his father when Melchisedec met him.
- [kjv] For
he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
- [asv] Now
if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it
hath the people received the law), what further need was there that
another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be
reckoned after the order of Aaron?
- [snd] /naʊ/ /ɪf/ /ðer/ /wɑz/ /pərˈfekʃ(ə)n/ /θru/ /ðə/ /lɪvaitɪkəl/ /ˈpristˌhʊd/ /fɔr/ /ˈʌndər/ /ɪt/ /hæθ/ /ðə/ /ˈpip(ə)l/ /rɪˈsivd/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /wɑt/ /ˈfɜrðər/ /nid/ /wɑz/ /ðer/ /ðæt/ /əˈnʌðər/ /prist/ /ʃʊd/ /əˈraɪz/ /ˈæftər/ /ði/ /ˈɔrdər/ /əv/ /melkaizədek/ /ænd/ /nɑt/ /bi/ /ˈrekənd/ /ˈæftər/ /ði/ /ˈɔrdər/ /əv/ /ɛərən/
- [jnd] If
indeed then perfection were
by the Levitical priesthood, for the people had their law given to them
in connexion with *it*, what need still that a different priest should
arise according to the order of Melchisedec, and not be named after the
order of Aaron?
- [kjv] If
therefore perfection were
by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the
law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after
the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
- [asv] For
the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also
of the law.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ðə/ /ˈpristˌhʊd/ /biɪŋ/ /tʃeɪndʒd/ /ðer/ /ɪz/ /meɪd/ /əv/ /nəˈsesəti/ /eɪ/ /tʃeɪndʒ/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔ/
- [jnd] For,
the priesthood being changed, there takes place of necessity a change
of law also.
- [kjv] For
the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also
of the law.
- [asv] For
he of whom these things are said belongeth to another tribe, from which
no man hath given attendance at the altar.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /heɪ/ /əv/ /hum/ /ðiz/ /θɪŋz/ /ɑr/ /sed/ /bɪˈlɔŋθ/ /tu/ /əˈnʌðər/ /traɪb/ /frɑm/ /wɪtʃ/ /nɔh/ /mæn/ /hæθ/ /ˈɡɪv(ə)n/ /əˈtendəns/ /æt/ /ði/ /ˈɔltər/
- [jnd] For
he, of whom these things
are said, belongs to a different tribe, of which no one has been
attached to the service of the altar.
- [kjv] For
he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of
which no man gave attendance at the altar.
- [asv] For
it is evident that our Lord hath sprung out of Judah; as to which tribe
Moses spake nothing concerning priests.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /ˈevɪdənt/ /ðæt/ /aʊr/ /lɔrd/ /hæθ/ /sprʌŋ/ /aʊt/ /əv/ /'dʒu:də/ /æz/ /tu/ /wɪtʃ/ /traɪb/ /mɔhzis/ /speɪk/ /ˈnʌθɪŋ/ /kənˈsɜrnɪŋ/ /prists/
- [jnd] For
it is clear that our Lord has sprung out of Juda, as to which tribe
Moses spake nothing as to priests.
- [kjv] For
it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses
spake nothing concerning priesthood.
- [asv] And
what we say is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of
Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,
- [snd] /ænd/ /wɑt/ /wi/ /seɪ/ /ɪz/ /jet/ /mɔr/ /əˈbʌndəntli/ /ˈevɪdənt/ /ɪf/ /ˈæftər/ /ðə/ /ˈlaɪknəs/ /əv/ /melkaizədek/ /ðer/ /əˈraɪzθ/ /əˈnʌðər/ /prist/
- [jnd] And
it is yet more abundantly evident, since a different priest arises
according to the similitude of Melchisedec,
- [kjv] And
it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of
Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
- [asv] who
hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after
the power of an endless life:
- [snd] /hu/ /hæθ/ /bɪn/ /meɪd/ /nɑt/ /ˈæftər/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /əv/ /eɪ/ /ˈkɑrn(ə)l/ /kəˈmæn(d)mənt/ /bʌt/ /ˈæftər/ /ðə/ /ˈpaʊər/ /əv/ /æn/ /ˈendləs/ /laɪf/
- [jnd] who
has been constituted not according to law of fleshly commandment, but
according to power of indissoluble life.
- [kjv] Who
is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power
of an endless life.
- [asv] for
it is witnessed of him, Thou art a priest for ever
After the order of Melchizedek.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /ˈwɪtnəst/ /əv/ /hɪm/ /ðaʊ/ /ɑrt/ /eɪ/ /prist/ /fɔr/ /ˈevər/ /ˈæftər/ /ði/ /ˈɔrdər/ /əv/ /melkaizədek/
- [jnd] For
it is borne witness, *Thou* art a priest for ever according to the
order of Melchisedec.
- [kjv] For
he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of
Melchisedec.
- [asv] For
there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its
weakness and unprofitableness
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ðer/ /ɪz/ /eɪ/ ɪŋ/ /əv/ /eɪ/ /ˈfɔrˌɡoʊɪŋ/ /kəˈmæn(d)mənt/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /əv/ /ɪts/ /ˈwiknəs/ /ænd/ /
- [jnd] For
there is a setting aside of the commandment going before for its
weakness and unprofitableness,
- [kjv] For
there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the
weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
- [asv] for
the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in thereupon of a better
hope, through which we draw nigh unto God.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /meɪd/ /ˈnʌθɪŋ/ /ˈpɜrfɪkt/ /ænd/ /eɪ/ /brɪŋɪŋ/ /ɪn/ /ˌðerəˈpɑn/ /əv/ /eɪ/ /ˈbetər/ /hoʊp/ /θru/ /wɪtʃ/ /wi/ /drɔ/ /naɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ɡɑd/
- [jnd] for
the law perfected nothing,) and the introduction of a better hope by
which we draw nigh to God.
- [kjv] For
the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did;
by the which we draw nigh unto God.
- [asv] And
inasmuch as it is not without the taking of an oath
- [snd] /ænd/ /inəz'mʌtʃ/ /æz/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /nɑt/ /wɪðˈaʊt/ /ðə/ /teɪkɪŋ/ /əv/ /æn/ /oʊθ/
- [jnd] And
by how much not without the swearing of an oath;
- [kjv] And
inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
- 7:21 [cbgb] 至於那些祭司、原不是起誓立的、只有耶穌是起誓立的.因為那立他的對他說、『主起了誓決不後悔、你是永遠為祭司。』
- [asv] for
they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath
by him that saith of him, The Lord sware and will not repent
himself,
Thou art a priest for ever);
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ðeɪ/ /ɪnˈdid/ /hæv/ /bɪn/ /meɪd/ /prists/ /wɪðˈaʊt/ /æn/ /oʊθ/ /bʌt/ /heɪ/ /wɪð/ /æn/ /oʊθ/ /baɪ/ /hɪm/ /ðæt/ /seθ/ /əv/ /hɪm/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /swɛə/ /ænd/ /wɪl/ /nɑt/ /rɪˈpent/ /hɪmˈself/ /ðaʊ/ /ɑrt/ /eɪ/ /prist/ /fɔr/ /ˈevər/
- [jnd] for
they are become priests
without the swearing of an oath, but he with the swearing of an oath,
by him who said, as to him, The Lord has sworn, and will not repent ,
*Thou* priest for ever ;)
- [kjv] For
those priests were made
without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The
Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the
order of Melchisedec:)
- [asv] by
so much also hath Jesus become the surety of a better covenant.
- [snd] /baɪ/ /soʊ/ /mʌtʃ/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /hæθ/ /ji'zəs/ /bɪˈkʌm/ /ðə/ /ˈʃʊrəti/ /əv/ /eɪ/ /ˈbetər/ /kəvnɑnt/
- [jnd] by
so much Jesus became surety of a better covenant.
- [kjv] By
so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
- [asv] And
they indeed have been made priests many in number, because that by
death they are hindered from continuing:
- [snd] /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /ɪnˈdid/ /hæv/ /bɪn/ /meɪd/ /prists/ /ˈmeni/ /ɪn/ /ˈnʌmbər/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /ðæt/ /baɪ/ /deθ/ /ðeɪ/ /ɑr/ /ˈhɪndərd/ /frɑm/ /kənˈtɪnjuɪŋ/
- [jnd] And
they have been many priests, on account of being hindered from
continuing by death;
- [kjv] And
they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to
continue by reason of death:
- 7:24 [cbgb] 這位既是永遠常存的、他祭司的職任、就長久不更換。
- [asv] but
he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthood unchangeable.
- [snd] /bʌt/ /heɪ/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /heɪ/ /əˈbaɪdθ/ /fɔr/ /ˈevər/ /hæθ/ /hɪz/ /ˈpristˌhʊd/ /ʌnˈtʃeɪndʒəb(ə)l/
- [jnd] but
he, because of his continuing for ever, has the priesthood unchangeable.
- [kjv] But
this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
- [asv] Wherefore
also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God
through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
- [snd] /ˈwerfɔr/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /heɪ/ /ɪz/ /ˈeɪb(ə)l/ /tu/ /seɪv/ /tu/ /ði/ /ˈʌtərˌmoʊst/ /ðem/ /ðæt/ /drɔ/ /nɪr/ /ˈʌntu/ /ɡɑd/ /θru/ /hɪm/ /ˈsiɪŋ/ /heɪ/ /ˈevər/ /lɪvθ/ /tu/ /meɪk/ /ˌɪntərˈseʃ(ə)n/ /fɔr/ /ðem/
- [jnd] Whence
also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God,
always living to intercede for them.
- [kjv] Wherefore
he is able also to
save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever
liveth to make intercession for them.
- [asv] For
such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated
from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
- [snd] /fɔr/ /sʌtʃ/ /eɪ/ /haɪ/ /prist/ /bɪˈkeɪm/ /ʌs/ /ˈhoʊli/ /ˈɡaɪlləs/ d/ /ˈsepəˌreɪtəd/ /frɑm/ /ˈsɪnərz/ /ænd/ /meɪd/ /ˈhaɪər/ /ðæn/ /ðə/ /ˈhev(ə)nz/
- [jnd] For
such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from
sinners, and become higher than the heavens:
- [kjv] For
such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled,
separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
- [asv] who
needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices,
first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for this
he did once for all, when he offered up himself.
- [snd] /hu/ /nidθ/ /nɑt/ /ˈdeɪli/ /laɪk/ /ðoʊz/ /haɪ/ /prists/ /tu/ /ˈɔfər/ /ʌp/ /ˈsækrɪˌfaɪsiz/ /fɜrst/ /fɔr/ /hɪz/ /oʊn/ /sɪnz/ /ænd/ /ðen/ /fɔr/ /ðə/ /sɪnz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈpip(ə)l/ /fɔr/ /ðɪs/ /heɪ/ /dɪd/ /wʌns/ /fɔr/ /ɔl/ /wen/ /heɪ/ /ˈɔfərd/ /ʌp/ /hɪmˈself/
- [jnd] who
has not day by day need,
as the high priests, first to offer up sacrifices for his own sins,
then those of the people; for this he did once for all having offered
up himself.
- [kjv] Who
needeth not daily, as
those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and
then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
- [asv] For
the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of
the oath, which was after the law, appointeth a Son, perfected for
evermore.
- [snd] /fɔr/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /əˈpɔɪntθ/ /men/ /haɪ/ /prists/ /hævɪŋ/ /ɪnˈfɜrməti/ /bʌt/ /ðə/ /wɜrd/ /əv/ /ði/ /oʊθ/ /wɪtʃ/ /wɑz/ /ˈæftər/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /əˈpɔɪntθ/ /eɪ/ /sʌn/ /ˈpɜrfɪktId/ /fɔr/ /ˌevərˈmɔr/
- [jnd] For
the law constitutes men
high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the swearing of the
oath which after the law, a Son perfected for ever.
- [kjv] For
the law maketh men high
priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since
the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
