Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the

- [jnd] And
on the second day were
gathered together the chief fathers of all the people, the priests, and
the Levites, to Ezra the scribe, even to gain wisdom as to the words of
the law.
- [kjv] And
on the second day were
gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the
priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the

- 8:14 [cbgb] 他們見律法上寫著、耶和華藉摩西吩咐以色列人、要在七月節住棚.

- [jnd] And
they found written in the
law which Jehovah had commanded through Moses, that the children of
Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month,
- [kjv] And
they found written in the
law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel
should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

- [asv] and
that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in
Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches,
and branches of wild olive, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and
branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.

- [jnd] and
that they should publish

booths, as it is written.
- 8:16 [cbgb] 於是百姓出去、取了樹枝來、各人在自己的房頂上、或院內、或 神殿的院內、或水門的寬闊處、或以法蓮門的寬闊處搭棚。
- [asv] So
the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths,
every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the
courts of the house of God, and in the broad place of the water gate,
and in the broad place of the gate of Ephraim.

brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of
his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God,
and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of
Ephraim.
- 8:17 [cbgb] 從擄到之地歸回的全會眾就搭棚、住在棚裏。從嫩的兒子約書亞的時候、直到這日、以色列人沒有這樣行.於是眾人大大喜樂。
- [asv] And
all the assembly of them that were come again out of the captivity made
booths, and dwelt in the booths; for since the days of Jeshua the son

- [jnd] And
all the congregation of
them that had come back from the captivity made booths, and dwelt in

had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great
gladness.
- [kjv] And
all the congregation of
them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat
