    • [jnd]   And Sarai said to Abram, Behold now, Jehovah has shut me up, that I do not bear. Go in, I pray thee, to my maidservant: it may be that I shall be built up by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

  5. 16:5 [cbgb]   撒萊對亞伯蘭說、我因你受屈、我將我的使女放在你懷中、他見自己有了孕就小看我、願耶和華在你我中間判斷。
    • [asv]   And Sarai said unto Abram, My wrong be upon thee: I gave my handmaid into they bosom; and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes: Jehovah judge between me and thee.

  8. 16:8 [cbgb]   對他說、撒萊的使女夏甲、你從那裏來、要往那裏去．夏甲說、我從我的主母撒萊面前逃出來。
    • [asv]   And he said, Hagar, Sarai's handmaid, whence camest thou? and whither goest thou? And she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.

    • [asv]   And the angel of Jehovah said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands.
