    • [asv]   Then after the space of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me.
    • [snd]   /ðen/ /ˈæftər/ /ðə/ /speɪs/ /əv/ /fɔrˈtin/ /jɪrz/ /aɪ/ /went/ /ʌp/ /əˈɡen/ /tu/ /jərusələm/ /wɪð/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /teɪkɪŋ/ /tai təs/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /wɪð/ /mi/
    • [jnd]   Then after a lapse of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with ;
    • [kjv]   Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
    • [asv]   And I went up by revelation; and I laid before them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles but privately before them who were of repute, lest by any means I should be running, or had run, in vain.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /aɪ/ /went/ /ʌp/ /baɪ/ /rev'əleɪʃən/ /ænd/ /aɪ/ /leɪd/ /bɪˈfɔr/ /ðem/ /ðə/ /ˈɡɑsp(ə)l/ /wɪtʃ/ /aɪ/ /pritʃ/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /bʌt/ /ˈpraɪvətli/ /bɪˈfɔr/ /ðem/ /hu/ /wɜr/ /əv/ /rɪˈpjut/ /lest/ /baɪ/ /ˈeni/ /minz/ /aɪ/ /ʃʊd/ /bi/ /ˈrʌnɪŋ/ /ɔr/ /həd/ /rʌn/ /ɪn/ /veɪn/
    • [jnd]   and I went up according to revelation, and I laid before them the glad tidings which I preach among the nations, but privately to those conspicuous , lest in any way I run or had run in vain;
    • [kjv]   And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
    • [asv]   But not even Titus who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /nɑt/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /tai təs/ /hu/ /wɑz/ /wɪð/ /mi/ /biɪŋ/ /eɪ/ /gri:k/ /wɑz/ /kəmˈpeld/ /tu/ /bi/ /ˈsɜrkəmˌsaɪzd/
    • [jnd]   but neither was Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, compelled to be circumcised;)
    • [kjv]   But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
  4. 2:4 [cbgb]   因為有偷著引進來的假弟兄、私下窺探我們在基督耶穌裏的自由、要叫我們作奴僕.
    • [asv]   and that because of the false brethren privily brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ðæt/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /fɔls/ /ˈbreðrən/ li/ /brɔt/ /ɪn/ /hu/ /keɪm/ /ɪn/ li/ /tu/ /spaɪ/ /aʊt/ /aʊr/ /ˈlɪbərti/ /wɪtʃ/ /wi/ /hæv/ /ɪn/ /krai st/ /ji'zəs/ /ðæt/ /ðeɪ/ /maɪt/ /brɪŋ/ /ʌs/ /ˈɪntu/ /ˈbɑndɪdʒ/
    • [jnd]   and on account of the false brethren brought in surreptitiously, who came in surreptitiously to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage;
    • [kjv]   And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
    • [asv]   to whom we gave place in the way of subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
    • [snd]   /tu/ /hum/ /wi/ /ɡeɪv/ /pleɪs/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /weɪ/ /əv/ /səbˈdʒekʃən/ /nɔh/ /nɑt/ /fɔr/ /æn/ /aʊr/ /ðæt/ /ðə/ /truθ/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈɡɑsp(ə)l/ /maɪt/ /kənˈtɪnju/ /wɪð/ /ju/
    • [jnd]   to whom we yielded in subjection not even for an hour, that the truth of the glad tidings might remain with you.
    • [kjv]   To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
    • [asv]   But from those who were reputed to be somewhat (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth not man's person)-- they, I say, who were of repute imparted nothing to me:
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /frɑm/ /ðoʊz/ /hu/ /wɜr/ /rɪˈpjutɪd/ /tu/ /bi/ /ˈsʌmwɑt, ˈsʌmhwɑt/ /ˌwɑtsoʊˈevər/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /ɪt/ /meɪkθ/ /nɔh/ /ˈmætər/ /tu/ /mi/ /ɡɑd/ /əkˈseptθ/ /nɑt/ /mæn/ /s/ /ˈpɜrs(ə)n/ /ðeɪ/ /aɪ/ /seɪ/ /hu/ /wɜr/ /əv/ /rɪˈpjut/ /ɪmˈpɑrtId/ /ˈnʌθɪŋ/ /tu/ /mi/
    • [jnd]   But from those who were conspicuous as being somewhat -- whatsoever they were, it makes no difference to me: God does not accept man's person; for to me those who were conspicuous communicated nothing;
    • [kjv]   But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
    • [asv]   but contrariwise, when they saw that I had been intrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, even as Peter with the gospel of the circumcision
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /kənˈtreriˌwaɪz/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /sɔ/ /ðæt/ /aɪ/ /həd/ /bɪn/ d/ /wɪð/ /ðə/ /ˈɡɑsp(ə)l/ /əv/ /ði/ /'ʌn.sə:kəm'siʒən, .ʌnsəkəm'siʒən/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /æz/ /pitər/ /wɪð/ /ðə/ /ˈɡɑsp(ə)l/ /əv/ /ði/ /ˌsɜrkəmˈsɪʒ(ə)n/
    • [jnd]   but, on the contrary, seeing that the glad tidings of the uncircumcision were confided to me, even as to Peter that of the circumcision,
    • [kjv]   But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
    • [asv]   for he that wrought for Peter unto the apostleship of the circumcision wrought for me also unto the Gentiles);
    • [snd]   /fɔr/ /heɪ/ /ðæt/ /ræwt/ /fɔr/ /pitər/ /ˈʌntu/ /ði/ / /əv/ /ði/ /ˌsɜrkəmˈsɪʒ(ə)n/ /ræwt/ /fɔr/ /mi/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/
    • [jnd]   for he that wrought in Peter for apostleship of the circumcision wrought also in me towards the Gentiles,)
    • [kjv]   For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
    • [asv]   and when they perceived the grace that was given unto me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship, that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision;
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /pərˈsivd/ /ðə/ /ɡreɪs/ /ðæt/ /wɑz/ /ˈɡɪv(ə)n/ /ˈʌntu/ /mi/ /dʒeɪmz/ /ænd/ /siphus/ /ænd/ /dʒɔn/ /ðeɪ/ /hu/ /wɜr/ /rɪˈpjutɪd/ /tu/ /bi/ /ˈpɪlərz/ /ɡeɪv/ /tu/ /mi/ /ænd/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /ðə/ /raɪt/ /hændz/ /əv/ /ˈfeloʊˌʃɪp/ /ðæt/ /wi/ /ʃʊd/ /ɡoʊ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ði/ /ˌsɜrkəmˈsɪʒ(ə)n/
    • [jnd]   and recognising the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were conspicuous as being pillars, gave to me and Barnabas right hands of fellowship, that *we* to the nations, and *they* to the circumcision;
    • [kjv]   And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
    • [asv]   only they would that we should remember the poor; which very thing I was also zealous to do.
    • [snd]   /ˈoʊnli/ /ðeɪ/ /wʊd/ /ðæt/ /wi/ /ʃʊd/ /rɪˈmembər/ /ðə/ /pʊr/ /wɪtʃ/ /ˈveri/ /θɪŋ/ /aɪ/ /wɑz/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /zeləs/ /tu/ /du/
    • [jnd]   only that we should remember the poor, which same thing also I was diligent to do.
    • [kjv]   Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
    • [asv]   But when Cephas came to Antioch, I resisted him to the face, because he stood condemned.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /wen/ /siphus/ /keɪm/ /tu/ /æntiɔk/ /aɪ/ /rɪˈzɪstId/ /hɪm/ /tu/ /ðə/ /feɪs/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /heɪ/ /stʊd/ /kənˈdemd/
    • [jnd]   But when Peter came to Antioch, I withstood him to face, because he was to be condemned:
    • [kjv]   But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
    • [asv]   For before that certain came from James, he ate with the Gentiles; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing them that were of the circumcision.
    • [snd]   /fɔr/ /bɪˈfɔr/ /ðæt/ /ˈsɜrt(ə)n/ /keɪm/ /frɑm/ /dʒeɪmz/ /heɪ/ /eɪt/ /wɪð/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /bʌt/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /keɪm/ /heɪ/ /dru/ /bæk/ /ænd/ /ˈsepəˌreɪtəd/ /hɪmˈself/ /fɪrɪŋ/ /ðem/ /ðæt/ /wɜr/ /əv/ /ði/ /ˌsɜrkəmˈsɪʒ(ə)n/
    • [jnd]   for before that certain came from James, he ate with the nations; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those of circumcision;
    • [kjv]   For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
    • [asv]   And the rest of the Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that even Barnabas was carried away with their dissimulation.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ðə/ /rest/ /əv/ /ðə/ / /dɪˈsemb(ə)ld/ /ˈlaɪkˌwaɪz/ /wɪð/ /hɪm/ /.insəu'mʌtʃ/ /ðæt/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /bæhrnəbəs/ /wɑz/ d/ /əˈweɪ/ /wɪð/ /ðer/ /di.simju'leiʃən
    • [jnd]   and the rest of the Jews also played the same dissembling part with him; so that even Barnabas was carried away too by their dissimulation.
    • [kjv]   And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
    • [asv]   But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /wen/ /aɪ/ /sɔ/ /ðæt/ /ðeɪ/ /wɔkt/ /nɑt/ /ˈʌpˌraɪtli/ /əˈkɔrdɪŋ/ /tu/ /ðə/ /truθ/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈɡɑsp(ə)l/ /aɪ/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /siphus/ /bɪˈfɔr/ /ðem/ /ɔl/ /ɪf/ /ðaʊ/ /biɪŋ/ /eɪ/ /dʒu/ /lɪvst/ /æz/ /du/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /ænd/ /nɑt/ /æz/ /du/ /ðə/ / /haʊ/ /kəmˈpelst/ /ðaʊ/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/ /tu/ /lɪv/ /æz/ /du/ /ðə/ /
    • [jnd]   But when I saw that they do not walk straightforwardly, according to the truth of the glad tidings, I said to Peter before all, If *thou*, being a Jew, livest as the nations and not as the Jews, how dost thou compel the nations to Judaize?
    • [kjv]   But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
    • [asv]   We being Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
    • [snd]   /wi/ /biɪŋ/ / /baɪ/ /ˈneɪtʃər/ /ænd/ /nɑt/ /ˈsɪnərz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈdʒenˌtaɪlz/
    • [jnd]   We, Jews by nature, and not sinners of nations,
    • [kjv]   We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
    • [asv]   yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
    • [snd]   /jet/ /ˈnoʊɪŋ/ /ðæt/ /eɪ/ /mæn/ /ɪz/ /nɑt/ /ˈdʒʌstɪˌfaɪd/ /baɪ/ /ðə/ /wɜrks/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /bʌt/ /θru/ /feɪθ/ /ɪn/ /ji'zəs/ /krai st/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /wi/ /bɪˈlivd/ /ɑn/ /krai st/ /ji'zəs/ /ðæt/ /wi/ /maɪt/ /bi/ /ˈdʒʌstɪˌfaɪd/ /baɪ/ /feɪθ/ /ɪn/ /krai st/ /ænd/ /nɑt/ /baɪ/ /ðə/ /wɜrks/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /baɪ/ /ðə/ /wɜrks/ /əv/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /ʃæl/ /nɔh/ /fleʃ/ /bi/ /ˈdʒʌstɪˌfaɪd/
    • [jnd]   but knowing that a man is not justified on the principle of works of law but by the faith of Jesus Christ, *we* also have believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified on the principle of faith of Christ; and not of works of law; because on the principle of works of law no flesh shall be justified.
    • [kjv]   Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
    • [asv]   But if, while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a minister of sin? God forbid.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /ɪf/ /waɪl/ /wi/ /sɔt/ /tu/ /bi/ /ˈdʒʌstɪˌfaɪd/ /ɪn/ /krai st/ /wi/ /aʊrˈselvz/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /wɜr/ /faʊnd/ /ˈsɪnərz/ /ɪz/ /krai st/ /eɪ/ /ˈmɪnɪstər/ /əv/ /sain/ /ɡɑd/ /fərˈbɪd/
    • [jnd]   Now if in seeking to be justified in Christ we also have been found sinners, then Christ minister of sin? Far be the thought.
    • [kjv]   But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
    • [asv]   For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a transgressor.
    • [snd]   /fɔr/ /ɪf/ /aɪ/ /bɪld/ /ʌp/ /əˈɡen/ /ðoʊz/ /θɪŋz/ /wɪtʃ/ /aɪ/ /dɪˈstrɔɪd/ /aɪ/ /pruv/ /maɪˈself/ /eɪ/ /
    • [jnd]   For if the things I have thrown down, these I build again, I constitute myself a transgressor.
    • [kjv]   For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
    • [asv]   For I through the law died unto the law, that I might live unto God.
    • [snd]   /fɔr/ /aɪ/ /θru/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /daɪd/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /ðæt/ /aɪ/ /maɪt/ /lɪv/ /ˈʌntu/ /ɡɑd/
    • [jnd]   For *I*, through law, have died to law, that I may live to God.
    • [kjv]   For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
    • [asv]   I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
    • [snd]   /aɪ/ /hæv/ /bɪn/ d/ /wɪð/ /krai st/ /ænd/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /nɔh/ /'lɔŋgə/ /aɪ/ /ðæt/ /lɪv/ /bʌt/ /krai st/ /ˈlɪvɪŋ/ /ɪn/ /mi/ /ænd/ /ðæt/ /laɪf/ /wɪtʃ/ /aɪ/ /naʊ/ /lɪv/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /fleʃ/ /aɪ/ /lɪv/ /ɪn/ /feɪθ/ /ðə/ /feɪθ/ /wɪtʃ/ /ɪz/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /ɡɑd/ /hu/ /lʌvd/ /mi/ /ænd/ /ɡeɪv/ /hɪmˈself/ /ʌp/ /fɔr/ /mi/
    • [jnd]   I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, *I*, but Christ lives in me; but that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.
    • [kjv]   I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
    • [asv]   I do not make void the grace of God: for if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nought.
    • [snd]   /aɪ/ /du/ /nɑt/ /meɪk/ /vɔɪd/ /ðə/ /ɡreɪs/ /əv/ /ɡɑd/ /fɔr/ /ɪf/ /'raitʃəsnis/ /ɪz/ /θru/ /ðə/ /lɔ/ /ðen/ /krai st/ /daɪd/ /fɔr/ /nɔt/
    • [jnd]   I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness by law, then Christ has died for nothing.
    • [kjv]   I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
