WHAT LENGTH, BREADTH, HEIGHT AND DEPTH
1. What length,
height and depth!
What greatness is
His love!
How else can I, a
sinner vile,
Be in such grace
and bliss?
2. My Saviour paid
a price
That I might
ransomed be;
Now willingly I'd
bear the cross,
And follow
faithfully.
3. The dearest
things on earth,
I gladly leave
behind;
Nor life, nor death
can hold me back-
'Tis Christ my soul
would find.
4. All worldly
gains or fame -
What good are they
to me?
The Lord didst
become poor for me,
Poor like Him I
would be.
5. My Savior do I
love,
His smile I would
obtain.
For Him, let gain
be turned to loss,
Let ease be turned
to pain.
6. Jesus, my
gracious Lord,
My true comfort to
be.
Whom have I on
earth or in heav'n
To love, save only
Thee?
7. Let oppositions
come,
And hardships from
above,
I only ask that
Thou wouldst but
Enfold me in Thy
love.
8. Lord, I now ask
of Thee,
By grace lead Thou
me on;
Stand by my side to
be my strength
Till all dark days
are gone.
9. For Satan often
tries
To hold me in
restraint;
Unless Thou wouldst
empow'r me, Lord,
Thy Name I might
attaint.
10. While time is
short indeed,
Uphold me, Lord,
till then,
At Thy return, I'll
sing at once:
Hallelujah! Amen.
