    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ðə/ /haɪ/ /prist/ /stʊd/ /ʌp/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /mɪdst/ /ænd/ /æskt/ /ji'zəs/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /ˈænsərst/ /ðaʊ/ /ˈnʌθɪŋ/ /wɑt/ /ɪz/ /ɪt/ /wɪtʃ/ /ðiz/ /ˈwɪtnəs/ /əˈɡenst/ /θi/
    • [jnd]   And the high priest, rising up before them all, asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? What do these testify against thee?
    • [kjv]   And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
    • [asv]   But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and saith unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /heɪ/ /held/ /hɪz/ /pis/ /ænd/ /ˈænsərd/ /ˈnʌθɪŋ/ /əˈɡen/ /ðə/ /haɪ/ /prist/ /æskt/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ɑrt/ /ðaʊ/ /ði/ /krai st/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /ðə/ /ˈblesəd/
    • [jnd]   But he was silent, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and says to him, *Thou* art the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
    • [kjv]   But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
    • [asv]   And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ji'zəs/ /sed/ /aɪ/ /ɑm'/ /ænd/ /ji/ /ʃæl/ /si/ /ðə/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /mæn/ /ˈsɪtɪŋ/ /æt/ /ðə/ /raɪt/ /hænd/ /əv/ /ˈpaʊər/ /ænd/ /ˈkʌmɪŋ/ /wɪð/ /ði/ /klaʊdz/ /əv/ /ˈhev(ə)n/
    • [jnd]   And Jesus said, *I* am, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
    • [kjv]   And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
    • [asv]   And the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What further need have we of witnesses?
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ðə/ /haɪ/ /prist/ /rent/ /hɪz/ /kloʊðz/ /ænd/ /seθ/ /wɑt/ /ˈfɜrðər/ /nid/ /hæv/ /wi/ /əv/ /'witnis/
    • [jnd]   And the high priest, having rent his clothes, says, What need have we any more of witnesses?
    • [kjv]   Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
    • [asv]   Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be worthy of death.
    • [snd]   /ji/ /hæv/ /hɜrd/ /ðə/ /blæsfəmi/ /wɑt/ /θɪŋk/ /ji/ /ænd/ /ðeɪ/ /ɔl/ /kənˈdemd/ /hɪm/ /tu/ /bi/ /ˈwɜrði/ /əv/ /deθ/
    • [jnd]   Ye have heard the blasphemy; what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
    • [kjv]   Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
    • [asv]   And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the officers received him with blows of their hands.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /sʌm/ /bɪˈɡæn/ /tu/ /spɪt/ /ɑn/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /tu/ /ˈkʌvər/ /hɪz/ /feɪs/ /ænd/ /tu/ /bʌˈfeɪ/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /tu/ /seɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /præhfəsi '/ /ænd/ /ði/ /ˈɔfɪsərz/ /rɪˈsivd/ /hɪm/ /wɪð/ /bloʊz/ /əv/ /ðer/ /hændz/
    • [jnd]   And some began to spit upon him, and cover up his face, and buffet him, and say to him, Prophesy; and the officers struck him with the palms of their hands.
    • [kjv]   And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
    • [asv]   And as Peter was beneath in the court, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest;
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /æz/ /pitər/ /wɑz/ /bɪˈniθ/ /ɪn/ /ði/ /kɔrt/ /ðer/ /kʌmθ/ /wʌn/ /əv/ /ðə/ /meɪdz/ /əv/ /ðə/ /haɪ/ /prist/
    • [jnd]   And Peter being below in the palace-court, there comes one of the maids of the high priest,
    • [kjv]   And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
    • [asv]   and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and saith, Thou also wast with the Nazarene, even Jesus.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ˈsiɪŋ/ /pitər/ /ˈwɔrmɪŋ/ /hɪmˈself/ /ʃi/ /lʊkt/ /əˈpɑn/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /seθ/ /ðaʊ/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /wɑst/ /wɪð/ /ðə/ /næ'zərin/ /ˈiv(ə)n/ /ji'zəs/
    • [jnd]   and seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, says, And *thou* wast with the Nazarene, Jesus.
    • [kjv]   And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
    • [asv]   But he denied, saying, I neither know, nor understand what thou sayest: and he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /heɪ/ d/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /aɪ/ /ˈniðər/ /noʊ/ /nɔr/ /ˌʌndərˈstænd/ /wɑt/ /ðaʊ/ /seɪst/ /ænd/ /heɪ/ /went/ /aʊt/ /ˈɪntu/ /ðə/ /pɔrtʃ/ /ænd/ /ði/ /kɑk/ /kru/
    • [jnd]   But he denied, saying, I know not nor understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the vestibule; and a cock crew.
    • [kjv]   But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
    • [asv]   And the maid saw him, and began again to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ðə/ /meɪd/ /sɔ/ /hɪm/ /ænd/ /bɪˈɡæn/ /əˈɡen/ /tu/ /seɪ/ /tu/ /ðem/ /ðæt/ /stʊd/ /baɪ/ /ðɪs/ /ɪz/ /wʌn/ /əv/ /ðem/
    • [jnd]   And the maid, seeing him, again began to say to those that stood by, This is of them.
    • [kjv]   And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
    • [asv]   But he again denied it. And after a little while again they that stood by said to Peter, of a truth thou art one of them; for thou art a Galilaean.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /heɪ/ /əˈɡen/ d/ /ɪt/ /ænd/ /ˈæftər/ /eɪ/ /ˈlɪt(ə)l/ /waɪl/ /əˈɡen/ /ðeɪ/ /ðæt/ /stʊd/ /baɪ/ /sed/ /tu/ /pitər/ /əv/ /eɪ/ /truθ/ /ðaʊ/ /ɑrt/ /wʌn/ /əv/ /ðem/ /fɔr/ /ðaʊ/ /ɑrt/ /eɪ/ /.gæli'li:ən/
    • [jnd]   And he again denied. And again, after a little, those that stood by said to Peter, Truly thou art of them, for also thou art a Galilean.
    • [kjv]   And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
    • [asv]   But he began to curse, and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /heɪ/ /bɪˈɡæn/ /tu/ /kɜrs/ /ænd/ /tu/ /swer/ /aɪ/ /noʊ/ /nɑt/ /ðɪs/ /mæn/ /əv/ /hum/ /ji/ /spik/
    • [jnd]   But he began to curse and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
    • [kjv]   But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
    • [asv]   And straightway the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word, how that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /ˈstreɪtˌweɪ/ /ðə/ /ˈsekənd/ /taɪm/ /ði/ /kɑk/ /kru/ /ænd/ /pitər/ /kɔld/ /tu/ /maɪnd/ /ðə/ /wɜrd/ /haʊ/ /ðæt/ /ji'zəs/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /bɪˈfɔr/ /ði/ /kɑk/ /kroʊ/ /twaɪs/ /ðaʊ/ /ʃælt/ /dɪˈnaɪ/ /mi/ /θraɪs/ /ænd/ /wen/ /heɪ/ /θɔt/ /ðerˈɑn/ /heɪ/ /wept/
    • [jnd]   And the second time a cock crew. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus said to him, Before cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice; and when he thought thereon he wept.
    • [kjv]   And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
