    • [kjv]   There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
    • [asv]   Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and entered into the boat; and that night they took nothing.
    • [snd]   /sai mən/ /pitər/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /aɪ/ /ɡoʊ/ /eɪ/ /ˈfɪʃɪŋ/ /ðeɪ/ /seɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /wi/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /kʌm/ /wɪð/ /θi/ /ðeɪ/ /went/ /fɔrθ/ /ænd/ /ˈentərd/ /ˈɪntu/ /ðə/ /boʊt/ /ænd/ /ðæt/ /naɪt/ /ðeɪ/ /tʊk/ /ˈnʌθɪŋ/
    • [jnd]   Simon Peter says to them, I go to fish. They say to him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and went on board, and that night took nothing.
    • [kjv]   Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
    • [asv]   But when day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach: yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /wen/ /deɪ/ /wɑz/ /naʊ/ /breɪkɪŋ/ /ji'zəs/ /stʊd/ /ɑn/ /ðə/ /bitʃ/ /jet/ /ðə/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)lz/ /nu/ /nɑt/ /ðæt/ /ɪt/ /wɑz/ /ji'zəs/
    • [jnd]   And early morn already breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; the disciples however did not know that it was Jesus.
    • [kjv]   But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
    • [asv]   Jesus therefore saith unto them, Children, have ye aught to eat? They answered him, No.
    • [snd]   /ji'zəs/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /ˈtʃɪldrən/ /hæv/ /ji/ /ɔt/ /tu/ /it/ /ðeɪ/ /ˈænsərd/ /hɪm/ /nɔh/
    • [jnd]   Jesus therefore says to them, Children, have ye anything to eat? They answered him, No.
    • [kjv]   Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
    • [asv]   And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
    • [snd]   /ænd/ /heɪ/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /kæst/ /ðə/ /net/ /ɑn/ /ðə/ /raɪt/ /saɪd/ /əv/ /ðə/ /boʊt/ /ænd/ /ji/ /ʃæl/ /faɪnd/ /ðeɪ/ /kæst/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /ænd/ /naʊ/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /nɑt/ /ˈeɪb(ə)l/ /tu/ /drɔ/ /ɪt/ /fɔr/ /ðə/ /ˈmʌltɪˌtud/ /əv/ /'fiʃiz/
    • [jnd]   And he said to them, Cast the net at the right side of the ship and ye will find. They cast therefore, and they could no longer draw it, from the multitude of fishes.
    • [kjv]   And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
    • [asv]   That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his coat about him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea.
    • [snd]   /ðæt/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)l/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /hum/ /ji'zəs/ /lʌvd/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /pitər/ /ɪt/ /ɪz/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /soʊ/ /wen/ /sai mən/ /pitər/ /hɜrd/ /ðæt/ /ɪt/ /wɑz/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/ /heɪ/ /ɡɜrt/ /hɪz/ /koʊt/ /əˈbaʊt/ /hɪm/ /fɔr/ /heɪ/ /wɑz/ /ˈneɪkəd/ /ænd/ /kæst/ /hɪmˈself/ /ˈɪntu/ /ðə/ /si/
    • [jnd]   That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved says to Peter, It is the Lord. Simon Peter therefore, having heard that it was the Lord, girded his overcoat (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea;
    • [kjv]   Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
    • [asv]   But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits off), dragging the net full of fishes.
    • [snd]   /bʌt/ /ði/ /ˈʌðər/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)lz/ /keɪm/ /ɪn/ /ðə/ /ˈlɪt(ə)l/ /boʊt/ /fɔr/ /ðeɪ/ /wɜr/ /nɑt/ /fɑr/ /frɑm/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /bʌt/ /əˈbaʊt/ /tu/ /ˈhʌndrəd/ /ˈkjubɪts/ /ɔf/ /dræɡɪŋ/ /ðə/ /net/ /fʊl/ /əv/ /'fiʃiz/
    • [jnd]   and the other disciples came in the small boat, for they were not far from the land, but somewhere about two hundred cubits, dragging the net of fishes.
    • [kjv]   And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
    • [asv]   So when they got out upon the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
    • [snd]   /soʊ/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /ɡɑt/ /aʊt/ /əˈpɑn/ /ðə/ /lænd/ /ðeɪ/ /si/ /eɪ/ /faɪr/ /əv/ /koʊlz/ /ðer/ /ænd/ /fɪʃ/ /leɪd/ /ðerˈɑn/ /ænd/ /bred/
    • [jnd]   When therefore they went out on the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread.
    • [kjv]   As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
    • [asv]   Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now taken.
    • [snd]   /ji'zəs/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /brɪŋ/ /əv/ /ðə/ /fɪʃ/ /wɪtʃ/ /ji/ /hæv/ /naʊ/ /ˈteɪkən/
    • [jnd]   Jesus says to them, Bring of the fishes which ye have now taken.
    • [kjv]   Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
    • [asv]   Simon Peter therefore went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, the net was not rent.
    • [snd]   /sai mən/ /pitər/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /went/ /ʌp/ /ænd/ /dru/ /ðə/ /net/ /tu/ /lænd/ /fʊl/ /əv/ /ɡreɪt/ /'fiʃiz/ /eɪ/ /ˈhʌndrəd/ /ænd/ /ˈfɪfti/ /ænd/ /θri/ /ænd/ /fɔr/ /ɔl/ /ðer/ /wɜr/ /soʊ/ /ˈmeni/ /ðə/ /net/ /wɑz/ /nɑt/ /rent/
    • [jnd]   Simon Peter went up and drew the net to the land full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and though there were so many, the net was not rent.
    • [kjv]   Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
    • [asv]   Jesus saith unto them, Come and break your fast. And none of the disciples durst inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
    • [snd]   /ji'zəs/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /ðem/ /kʌm/ /ænd/ /breɪk/ /jʊr/ /fæst/ /ænd/ /nʌn/ /əv/ /ðə/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)lz/ st/ /ɪnˈkwaɪr/ /əv/ /hɪm/ /hu/ /ɑrt/ /ðaʊ/ /ˈnoʊɪŋ/ /ðæt/ /ɪt/ /wɑz/ /ðə/ /lɔrd/
    • [jnd]   Jesus says to them, Come dine. But none of the disciples dared inquire of him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
    • [kjv]   Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
    • [asv]   Jesus cometh, and taketh the bread, and giveth them, and the fish likewise.
    • [snd]   /ji'zəs/ /kʌmθ/ /ænd/ /teɪkθ/ /ðə/ /bred/ /ænd/ /ɡɪvθ/ /ðem/ /ænd/ /ðə/ /fɪʃ/ /ˈlaɪkˌwaɪz/
    • [jnd]   Jesus comes and takes the bread and gives it to them, and the fish in like manner.
    • [kjv]   Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
    • [asv]   This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
    • [snd]   /ðɪs/ /ɪz/ /naʊ/ /ðə/ /θɜrd/ /taɪm/ /ðæt/ /ji'zəs/ /wɑz/ /ˈmænɪˌfestId/ /tu/ /ðə/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)lz/ /ˈæftər/ /ðæt/ /heɪ/ /wɑz/ /ˈrɪz(ə)n/ /frɑm/ /ðə/ /ded/
    • [jnd]   This is already the third time that Jesus had been manifested to the disciples, being risen from among dead.
    • [kjv]   This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
    • [asv]   So when they had broken their fast, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
    • [snd]   /soʊ/ /wen/ /ðeɪ/ /həd/ /ˈbroʊkən/ /ðer/ /fæst/ /ji'zəs/ /seθ/ /tu/ /sai mən/ /pitər/ /sai mən/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /dʒɔn/ /lʌvst/ /ðaʊ/ /mi/ /mɔr/ /ðæn/ /ðiz/ /heɪ/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /jeɪ/ /lɔrd/ /ðaʊ/ /noʊst/ /ðæt/ /aɪ/ /lʌv/ /θi/ /heɪ/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /fid/ /maɪ/ /læmz/
    • [jnd]   When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs.
    • [kjv]   So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
    • [asv]   He saith to him again a second time, Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Tend my sheep.
    • [snd]   /heɪ/ /seθ/ /tu/ /hɪm/ /əˈɡen/ /eɪ/ /ˈsekənd/ /taɪm/ /sai mən/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /dʒɔn/ /lʌvst/ /ðaʊ/ /mi/ /heɪ/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /jeɪ/ /lɔrd/ /ðaʊ/ /noʊst/ /ðæt/ /aɪ/ /lʌv/ /θi/ /heɪ/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /tend/ /maɪ/ /ʃip/
    • [jnd]   He says to him again a second time, Simon, of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep.
    • [kjv]   He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
    • [asv]   He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
    • [snd]   /heɪ/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ðə/ /θɜrd/ /taɪm/ /sai mən/ /sʌn/ /əv/ /dʒɔn/ /lʌvst/ /ðaʊ/ /mi/ /pitər/ /wɑz/ /ɡrivd/ /bɪˈkɔz/ /heɪ/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ðə/ /θɜrd/ /taɪm/ /lʌvst/ /ðaʊ/ /mi/ /ænd/ /heɪ/ /sed/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /lɔrd/ /ðaʊ/ /noʊst/ /ɔl/ /θɪŋz/ /ðaʊ/ /noʊst/ /ðæt/ /aɪ/ /lʌv/ /θi/ /ji'zəs/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /fid/ /maɪ/ /ʃip/
    • [jnd]   He says to him the third time, Simon, of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.
    • [kjv]   He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
    • [asv]   Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
    • [snd]   /ˈverəli/ /ˈverəli/ /aɪ/ /seɪ/ /ˈʌntu/ /θi/ /wen/ /ðaʊ/ /wɑst/ /jʌŋ/ /ðaʊ/ /ɡɜrdIdst/ /ðaɪˈself/ /ænd/ /wɔktst/ /ˈwɪðər/ /ðaʊ/ /wʊdst/ /bʌt/ /wen/ /ðaʊ/ /ʃælt/ /bi/ /oʊld/ /ðaʊ/ /ʃælt/ /stretʃ/ /fɔrθ/ /ðaɪ/ /hændz/ /ænd/ /əˈnʌðər/ /ʃæl/ /ɡɜrd/ /θi/ /ænd/ /ˈkeri/ /θi/ /ˈwɪðər/ /ðaʊ/ /wʊdst/ /nɑt/
    • [jnd]   Verily, verily, I say to thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst where thou desiredst; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and bring thee where thou dost not desire.
    • [kjv]   Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
    • [asv]   Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
    • [snd]   /naʊ/ /ðɪs/ /heɪ/ /speɪk/ /ˈsɪɡnɪˌfaɪɪŋ/ /baɪ/ /wɑt/ /ˈmænər/ /əv/ /deθ/ /heɪ/ /ʃʊd/ /ˈɡlɔrəˌfaɪ/ /ɡɑd/ /ænd/ /wen/ /heɪ/ /həd/ /ˈspoʊkən/ /ðɪs/ /heɪ/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ˈfɑloʊ/ /mi/
    • [jnd]   But he said this signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he says to him, Follow me.
    • [kjv]   This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
    • [asv]   Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned back on his breast at the supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?
    • [snd]   /pitər/ /ˈtɜrnɪŋ/ /əˈbaʊt/ /siθ/ /ðə/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)l/ /hum/ /ji'zəs/ /lʌvd/ /ˈfɑloʊɪŋ/ /hu/ /ˈɔlsoʊ/ /lind/ /bæk/ /ɑn/ /hɪz/ /brest/ /æt/ /ðə/ /ˈsʌpər/ /ænd/ /sed/ /lɔrd/ /hu/ /ɪz/ /heɪ/ /ðæt/ /bɪˈtreɪθ/ /θi/
    • [jnd]   Peter, turning round, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned at supper on his breast, and said, Lord, who is it that delivers thee up?
    • [kjv]   Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
    • [asv]   Peter therefore seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
    • [snd]   /pitər/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /ˈsiɪŋ/ /hɪm/ /seθ/ /tu/ /ji'zəs/ /lɔrd/ /ænd/ /wɑt/ /ʃæl/ /ðɪs/ /mæn/ /du/
    • [jnd]   Peter, seeing him, says to Jesus, Lord, and what this ?
    • [kjv]   Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
    • [asv]   Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.
    • [snd]   /ji'zəs/ /seθ/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ɪf/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /ðæt/ /heɪ/ /ˈteri/ /tɪl/ /aɪ/ /kʌm/ /wɑt/ /ɪz/ /ðæt/ /tu/ /θi/ /ˈfɑloʊ/ /ðaʊ/ /mi/
    • [jnd]   Jesus says to him, If I will that he abide until I come, what to thee? Follow thou me.
    • [kjv]   Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
    • [asv]   This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
    • [snd]   /ðɪs/ /ˈseɪɪŋ/ /ˈðerfɔr/ /went/ /fɔrθ/ /əˈmʌŋ/ /ðə/ /ˈbreðrən/ /ðæt/ /ðæt/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)l/ /ʃʊd/ /nɑt/ /daɪ/ /jet/ /ji'zəs/ /sed/ /nɑt/ /ˈʌntu/ /hɪm/ /ðæt/ /heɪ/ /ʃʊd/ /nɑt/ /daɪ/ /bʌt/ /ɪf/ /aɪ/ /wɪl/ /ðæt/ /heɪ/ /ˈteri/ /tɪl/ /aɪ/ /kʌm/ /wɑt/ /ɪz/ /ðæt/ /tu/ /θi/
    • [jnd]   This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Jesus did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what to thee?
    • [kjv]   Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
    • [asv]   This is the disciple that beareth witness of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his witness is true.
    • [snd]   /ðɪs/ /ɪz/ /ðə/ /dɪˈsaɪp(ə)l/ /ðæt/ /berθ/ /ˈwɪtnəs/ /əv/ /ðiz/ /θɪŋz/ /ænd/ /roʊt/ /ðiz/ /θɪŋz/ /ænd/ /wi/ /noʊ/ /ðæt/ /hɪz/ /ˈwɪtnəs/ /ɪz/ /tru/
    • [jnd]   This is the disciple who bears witness concerning these things, and who has written these things; and we know that his witness is true.
