THE SPIRIT DWELLS IN ME

Lord, I was praying earnestly,
Hoping I from sin
might be set free;
Then one day in
mercy the Lord revealed in me
How the Spirit
dwells in me.

child, full of weakness for so long,
l knew well that l
should be made strong.
Joy swept o'er my
soul, when the Spirit came along
And revealed that
He's in me.
3. I can testify of
the Spirit's pow'r inside,
For my heart is
fully opened wide.
I have turned away
from all works of sin and pride,
For the Spirit
dwells in me.
4. Now I know for
sure I can see my Savior's face,
For the Lord did
all my sin erase;
And a crown for me
is prepared in that blest place.
Yes, He ever lives
in me!
